Heritage Line has announced that it now has its own Operations Team on the ground in Myanmar under the overall guidance of Terry Gordon, the line’s Director of Operations. Terry arrived in SE Asia in 2005 and has extensive experience managing travel and tour operations for the world’s leading brands, specialising in unique and tailor-made itineraries throughout Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar.
According to Managing Director, Maarten Perdok, “What this team has allowed us to do is evaluate each of the rivers [the Ayeyarwady and Chindwin] and the physical stops along the way in order to maximise the experiences for our guests. It is also incumbent upon us to offer as many enriching programs as possible in keeping with the credo of our brand.”
Perdok further states, “Myanmar is seeing significant growth as a destination and we have to do our best to separate ourselves from the ever increasing competition.”
According to Nelson Balilo, Director of Sales & Marketing, “The re-evaluation of our operations in Myanmar has resulted in Heritage Line now offering seven standard itineraries, instead of five, and two specialty cruises – 5D/4N Christmas and a 5D/4N New Year’s 2016.”
